Nov 10, 2011 Day 2

Babies are doing great. 

 They will stay in hospital because of their size at this time, I am hoping they will be home in the apartment with us in a day or two.   

The good news is I am breastfeeding Nevaeh and tomorrow will be Milena's turn.

They are HERE! 36 weeks and 3 days

It is with tears of joy that I introduce you to our 2 baby girls: 

Milena Born November 9th, 2011 at 5:38 pm Delhi time. 

Weight 2.1 kg  (4 lbs 6 oz )

Nevaeh Born November 9th, 2011 at 5:39 pm Delhi time. 

Weight 1.8 kg  (3 lbs 9 oz )

Both girls are doing great !  

36 Weeks/ Day 6 in Delhi

Things are going well here in Delhi, just hanging and waiting around.   We have had a great time meeting up with Stacey and Lee (Two Babies on the Way : http://cyberkhanfamily.blogspot.com/).

We have confirmed with Dr. Shivani that if Ms. S is still pregnant on Nov 15th, we will go for our ultrasound at that time.   Plans are to deliver on the 16th or 17th of November.

35 Weeks 4 days / Day 3 in Delhi

We made it !  Helena and I landed in Delhi on Nov 1, 2011 in the evening and within 10 mins of being in the apartment I blew a fuse causing us to be without power in 1/2 the house, the 1/2 that has the WI-FI.  It took us until the late afternoon of Nov 2, 2011 to have this fixed by the manager of the apartment and now we know how to fix the fuses every few hours.  Seems I like to plug a few too many things in at once causing Helena to go outside and reset the fuse.

Today Nov 3, 2011, is much better I only blew things out once.    We were very jet lagged yesterday and feel much better today.  We have been shopping at M block market, and got ourselves groceries.  Today we went to get a few odds and ends and had a coffee out at a little cafe. 

I am just waiting to hear back from SCI to see if we can set up an appointment to go to an ultrasound with Ms. S.

That's all WE have for now and are expecting Rich to arrive in Delhi on the 12th of November.

35 Weeks

35 weeks  marks a few milestones here at home. Week 35, bought a van. Week 35, several bags of milk frozen. Week 35, just hours away from boarding a flight that will take us to the place where our babies and surrogate are.
 I LOVE WEEK 35, but I bet I will LOVE WEEK 37 MORE!

34 Weeks and 4 Days

Surprise Ultra Sound report today.

Amniotic Fluid is high, that is the only concern at this point. Waiting to hear from the OB.

Twin 1 weighing 1769 grams, 3lbs 14 oz Measuring 32 weeks and 1 day.

Twin 2 weighing 2027 grams , 4lbs 7 oz Measuring 32 weeks and 5 days.

34 Weeks

We are 34 Weeks and again,all is quiet.   On the home front, I am packed, sort of...   just a few little things to pack last minute.  I started Maternity leave today and the paper work is filed.  Working on my milk supply this week, seems to be going up daily but not at the level I was expecting.  Making milk is hard work!  This week is all about me, resting, eating, massage and acupuncture, drinking tea and a ton of supplements to boost my supply to meet our babies needs.  
Our flight is book for this coming Sunday, I am so very excited to spend some time in India before the babies come and do some rest and relaxation away from home and some shopping!
