18 Months Old. 

A Day in the Park with Baba and Deda.

I went to a photography workshop last weekend and I was re inspired to take photos that mean something to me, rather than striving for the perfect magazine photo.   

Here are just a few from a few hundred shots that day in the park with my parents, Baba and Deda.

Christmas 2012

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 

1 Year Old.

This month was filled with Pumpkin Patches, our Baba and Deda's Slava, Halloween  and our 1st Birthday.

We love being one. 

I have spent a lot of time thinking about where we were and what we were doing a year ago. 

 It is very emotional and sometimes overwhelming to come to terms with the gifts that our beautiful surrogate bestowed upon us.   There really  is not a day that passes that I do not think about Ms S. and all the love she gave to our girls as they grew.  I am forever grateful and feel so very blessed. 

I am also grateful to Dr. Shivani and the team at SCI for all their support and helping our dreams come true. 

To my girls, you have changed this family, you have changed me in a way that is indescribable and feel so blessed that you choose us.   I love you so very much.   Love Momma. 

11 Months: Climbing Stairs and Walking. The Great Outdoors and Thanksgiving.

11 Months

Nevaeh is now climbing the stairs.

Milena is freely walking and has been for a few weeks now. 

Nevaeh is hanging on.

We had some outdoor time in the park. 

Our friend Nala... she stole Nev's ball. 

Thanksgiving  Day 

with Grandma and Grandpa Henderson and all my cousins, brothers and sister. 

10 months, Crawling, Standing, Teeth, and Taking steps, Climbing stairs.....

10 months have passed by so fast. 

This past month, Milena learnt how to climb the stairs, 

get in to a standing position directly from the floor on her own  

and can take up to 4-5 steps . 

 So not really walking, but really close.  

 She also has 6 teeth now and teething has not been to much of an issue with either of the girls. 

Nevaeh is crawling, pulling herself up and standing and walking with the assistance of furniture.  

She also got her first tooth, top right second space, Lateral Incisor,  on Sept 6, 2012 and today we found another poking through on the left centre bottom.

Really trying to stay in the moment as much as I can and loving every moment of it.
